Ingredients

Active Ingredients: Standardized Sennosides (8.6 mg) (Stimulant Laxative)

DIRECTIONS:

Pros:

  • Senna based laxatives are commonly prescribed by Drs. to treat childhood constipation.

Cons:

  • The MAyo Clinic advises that these type of products should not be given to young children without a prescription.

Bottom Line:

  • Do not use unless you talk to your childs Dr first. 
  • Often eating more fiber fruits, veggies, whole grain cereals,drinking more liquids, and getting more exercise will usually solve the problem.
  • When adjusting a child's diet doesn't help,
    Pedia-Lax can save the day.

We have not yet tried the product; but we did talk to my grandaughters Ped. and he is the one who told me that if this happens he would recommend senna based products of which this is.  So when it becomes necesart we will be letting the Dr know and intend to use this product, I have ecen tucked a few strips into our Diaper bag .

If one had a mind to, one could make a joke out of the similarity between makeup and laxative, could one not? Actually, I used to have a really dim view of them when I raised my kids, because they were all too strong. However, they may have gotten better. Maybe my kids use them, maybe they don't.

Claudia, you have me cracking up now So here is something that ties makup & Laxatives together
When administered to teenage girls, these laxatives are highly effective in improving grades, freeing up phone lines, and reducing money spent on makeup.

OR my favorite

If you put on tons of makup ( like a Clown, wake someone up in the middle of the night and this make up look will scare the crap out of you victim LOL

We hardly ever use laxatives (I just don't like the effect LOL), but thanks for the info in case she really, really needs one.

these would have been GREAT when my daughter was three and had a tear from and impacted bowl. Try getting a 3 year old to drink "MOM"

Sorry Mark, no citrus or raspberry currently since the product is brand new they only have the strips in grape flavor but the chewables come in watermelon flavors. But it is a wonderful suggestion for me to include in my report back to the hive.
