"Zodiac" is about the search for the identity of the serial killer who, in the 1960s and 70s, haunted the San Francisco area. Robert Graysmith (Jake Gyllenhaal) is a cartoonist for the San Francisco Chronicle who neglects his children, wife, and job becoming completely obsessed in finding the true identity of the Zodiac and eventually writes the best-selling true crime book Zodiac. Wonderful supporting cast including Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr. and Chloe Sevigny.
This was a very long movie (158 min). It was well acted, slow at parts, but it did manage to keep my attention.
I give "Zodiac" three and a half out of five stars.
Rated R for for some strong killings, language, drug material and brief sexual images.
