Last week I something happened that I'd been waiting for since I approved the final proof on my novel, No Sensible People. The listing has shown up on Amazon.com. It's also on Barnesandnoble.com, although it can only be found there by searching by ISBN or clicking on the link. The downside is it still lists as "unavailable, out of print, limited availability." Lulu has assured me that things are on schedule and in a couple weeks it will be available on the other sites as well. Meanwhile, both No Sensible People and The Long and Short of It which continue boast generous previews and favorable reviews are for sale on Lulu.
But little things like "patience" and "trust" have always been a little difficult for me. I am waiting to write and post my press release until the book is fully available there as I suspect some people don't like to buy from Lulu.com, or perhaps they just want to limit their online shopping affiliations.
This is when I order a batch of books to present to reviewers and Indie bookstores, my old college, the Loft library. It's when I make promotional cards to scatter across the area. It's a whole new phase that feels like it's waiting, almost there but unreachable. I feel like Alice from Alice in Wonderland on the other side of the mirror, and it's driving me a little nuts.
For now, I was at least able to update my Booktour.com author page. The site was not recognizing my ISBN before. Booktour is great. It lets authors get the word out about upcoming events, and lets book lovers know where to go to be read to. I LOVE being read to. Let me know if you want more info on that. Here is my Booktour page-- although I don't have any actual events scheduled yet.
Life is both a waiting game and a doing game, and the two aspects don't always take their turn where they want. Soon I will have to get ready to go into work at the day job to earn some extra money to buy more books. I just have to remind myself to keep my eyes on the prize -- even if it's on the other side of the mirror.

I felt like my book was "real" once it was on Amazon, because I believe more people think of Amazon first for book buying (actually *I* think of Half.com, but lol, I'm cheap!).
U wishing you laughter
Gather Broadcasting: Have it your way
And, I hope you get what you wish for soon.
You're like me, who doesn't have much patience. But, I'm learning as well.
Maybe we will learn together.
Of course, I have to get a book of mine published first.
I love the title : " no sensible people". My guess is that this must be a very interesting self journey where you have met many of those " no sensible"..and this triggered the love to write all about.
GOOD LUCK !
