So I just finished my second full week of classes. We started on August 25 (the 26th for me). I have classes two days a week. I am taking three classes right now, and I am in class from 9:45 - 3:45 with a two hour break in there. I am happy I only have class two days a week, but it's rough. I have so much reading to do already. That, however, is to be expected, especially with being a history major. It's just hard to get it all done and take care of Mikaela and do the housework that needs done. Sometimes it's overwhelming, but I know I need and want to finish school, and I am doing it for myself and Mikaela and that makes me happy. I am taking a women's studies course, history of the early American republic, and history of the Modern Middle East. So my classes are interesting, it's just they are so time consuming. I also am taking one online course, a study of the African continent. So I'm going to be busy this semester.
I found a great babysitter for Mikaela when I'm in school. I drop her off at 7 (because I have a 100 mile drive to and from school on Tuesday and Thursday) and my mom picks her up at 2:30 and then watches her until I get home. The babysitter loves Mikaela and tells me and my mom what a good and happy baby she is. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful daughter. I can't imagine my life without her in it. She just makes everything even more worthwhile and she's learning so much everyday!
With the start of school comes one of my favorite times of year -- football season! I love going to football games, especially Penn State games, and it's my favorite time of the year. Football is my favorite sport and I can't get enough of it.
I stopped babysitting the week before I went back to school because it would have just been too much to handle and my friend understood that. So all's well that ends well.
