Christiansvaern Fort

The Danish went about securing the port by building a fort. Here are some photos of a traditional style fort and yes, the color is true to the original. Here is the iron gate with scroll work beckoning you to enter.




After a small cobbled area with guards you walk through a tunnel towards the seaward defenses.



Looking back on the fort you see the Governor's quarters with the double staircase and the officers' quarters are on the ground level to the left of the green.
