Question for Epinions Members

Okay I know that there are several epinions members on here that are still active and even some advisors.  I was hoping that someone would be able to tell me how to earn money on that website without the 10 for $10.  I figure there has to be some tips that you can give me or some kind of trick to it.  So far I only make about 69c a month without the 10 for $10.  How do I get a top review?

A little off track, but do you like that site or is it worth it? The reason I ask, is many years ago I had a link to that site, and even wrote some reviews, but never really got involved in winning or making money(?) with them. I just sort of did it for fun occasionally. I bet it is different now as well. Anyway, thanks.

I am a member of Epinions and have been since 2000. But I haven't written any reviews for them in a long time. It was really hard for me to make money on there. But I'm thinking of trying it again soon. *HUGS*

From December through August they were holding a 10 reviews for $10 promotion. Which is if you wrote 10 reviews that were rated at least somewhat helpeful you got $10. It was definitely worth it then. Right now I'm still trying to figure out how to earn money with them otherwise.

I have no idea...when I joined epinions many years ago they paid .10 for each time your review was seen, they even paid as much as .30 each. Then, you joined email groups and clicked and rated others and they did the same for you and the earning was super easy. I haven't written anything there for years and last...in fact last I tried to log in they had done away with my account. Last I knew you got a precentage of the revenue earned by others clicking on your reviews based on what advertising was there. I'm sticking with gather, I'm much more comfortable here.

I have to say, I've been a member there for years. In the beginning it was easy, it was based on clicks. Now it's some kind of bizarre ritual involving percentage of advertising and some such nonsense. I did the ten for ten one month and got enough to cash out and haven't really been back since. I wish I could be more helpful, but I really think the site has gone downhill and doesn't really pay enough for me to work there. Peace

Epinions sucks a big lollypop the size of my cousin Vinny's boil under his armpit! Even if you make top reviewer, you will only earn a few pennies. They rarely reward hard work, and often screw their best members! Write for gather, AC, or Viewpoints. You will earn more and have fewer headaches garanteed!

I agree with William! I wrote about 72 articles/essays which took a good amount of time to prepare. This was over about a year's time. According to the miserly Epinions, if I write another 72 articles for them, then I get the golden jackpot of $10. Elephants will fly before I write another article for them. Williampinn (Gary) was the best writer they had and he was not rewarded properly. In comparision, Gather is a blast!!

Blah... epi is awful with payments. Join AC or Bukisa..... they actually pay fairly well compared to epi.

Here is my total... with a hat.... lol.... a member for 8 years with a grand total of around $300.00 profit. Do the math on that... its pretty horrendous.
