I really want some Etain viola ever since I saw it on Directgardening catalog last year. I bought them, they didn't survive, this year I asked for replacement, but those replacements didn't survive too...... Then I found them at Lowe's this summer, of course I bought them there right away, together with Rebecca viola. I was so glad to have them, felt like jumping but instead I took so many of 'em pics. Have you ever heard that there is no two snow crystals that exatcly the same, nor zebras, nor finger prints? I say there is no viola flowers that are exatcly the same.
Rebecca Viola: The sweetly scented flowers are white and creamy yellow with flecks of deep violet around the edges. No two are exactly alike, but every one is irresistible. 'Rebecca' belongs to a group called Violettas, which offer a compact habit, a strong vanilla perfume, and flowers without lines at the base of the petals. They also like to bloom heavily all summer, and you can count on 'Rebecca' to delight your eyes and nose from spring till hard frost. (http://www.whiteflowerfarm.com/39571-product.html)

Etain Viola: This beautiful English hybrid has pale lemon yellow blossoms with contrasting lavender-purple margins and a delightful fragrance. Though it blooms the heaviest from late spring to early summer, it will continue to send up flowers sporadically throughout the summer and into fall.
