Hospital Courtyard Critter

The opossum that lives in our courtyard at the hospital had 2 babies a few weeks ago. Apparently there must be a male opossum nearby, too...LOL

I have been trying to get a pic of one of the little guys for a couple of weeks now. I either didn't have my camera, it scampered off too fast or it just wasn't around.

Well, one of the little ones was out last night eating the cat food. I grabbed my camera and hurried outside. He took off into the bushes and the up a small tree.

I was able to get a few pics before he ran off. I know opossums are a pain in the butt, but he is so cute!!!

I've always likes opossums and never really understood why people are so afraid of them. I like your photos of the little guy.

Nice pictures of the little guy. A few years ago I had a staghorn fern in a pot nailed to a tree. One I was watering it with a hose and a possum about this size popped his head out of the pot, I had soaked him. I let him be but I never saw him in the pot again, I guess he had had enough of that.
