Fellow gatherers - Just thought I'd elaborate a bit - now that the promo is over...
These portraits are the family portraits of the "Fechenbach" family - their castle - really more of a villa, is in the center of town. I got about 3 more pics of the portraits are displayed in the old castle, which is now a museum.

wow! makes me miss Germany a little bit. Dad was stationed there for a total of 6 years. The first three (I was a toddler) were in Augsburg. When I was 14 we moved to Neu Ulm, and when I was 16 we spent a year in Heidelberg. Even had my prom in the castle! How cool is that?
You had your prom in the castle? Get out - that is wicked cool! Heidelberg is just one of those places that gets under your skin - once you've been - you want to go back. Like the song says: I've lost my heart in Heidelberg....
