Ft Snelling National Cemetery

Today I went to visit some relatives at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.  Here are some pictures I took.   Thank you to all the service men and women for serving our country.

Is there a significance to the veggies on that one grave?

I am not sure why there was vegetables on the grave - I can only guess that it is because they were a gardener. It was a grave close to my grandfathers. I thought that it was interesting, so I took a picture of it.

Per the vegetables on the grave. We visited my husband's grandmother's grave, over the summer. And there was a squash plant growing by her tombstone. Very odd~ We assumed someone must have thrown some seeds down. Or maybe a passing bird. Either way it was odd. She was a wonderful gardner. And kept the church with fresh flowers from her garden

Fort Snelling has a place of great honour. I remember visiting many times as a child for events.
