Here are a few of her highlights in her month in NYC:

From the Asian exhibit in the Rubin Museum.

Nice afternoon glow in Manhattan, with the Empire State Building in the background.

This building was used in Sex and the City movie.

Ah, lovely Brooklyn.

Radio City Music Hall.

The Courtyard at Rockefeller Center.

St. Patrick's Cathedral.

A beautiful building on Madison Avenue, next to Kenneth Cole.

Times Square.

Brooklyn bridge, from the bus.

The Eqyptian exhibit of the Met. This exhibit was made possible by a donation from Jackie O, whose apartment could see this particular exhibit. In the Sex and the City movie, Jackie's $30 million dollar apartment was the apartment that Carrie and Big bought.

Ah, Vincent.

Jeff Koons' sculpture on the Met roof.

Koons.

Koons.

The giant pencil sculpture at Pratt by William Channing.

Water fountain at Pratt.

This is Steps, a beautiful, 18-20 year-old cat and feline staff member of Pratt. Pratt has a number of cats that are employed by the school as, yep, you guessed it - mousers, or, ratters, as the case may be. The cats live indoors and outdoors, often walking the halls along with the students. They do have a special entrance (below) for shelter at night or during inclement weather. The cats are very friendly and staff and students love the cats.
Steps has a special story. She looks ragged because she is old and weak. During July, she was dying. She loves people.

Feline staff entrance at Pratt.

Another lovely cat worker.

I liked everything but the Koons sculptures. I thought those looked a bit garish and tacky. I've seen the Egyptian exhibit at the Met (or maybe that was before it was built - back when it was on tour - I was 13 at the time).
Nice pics.
great photo essay i can tell she had lots of fun.
amy, yes, lots of fun.
lena, why don't you go?
I like the cat ones the best though.
Pratt is in Brooklyn, a campus in the middle of the city, so with all those people and all that food around, I am sure there would be mice if.......
Thank you, Carol.
Thanks all.
Selene, wonderful!
Definitely you all must go to the Big Apple.
Thank you for your recent comment on my post: Thank You, Gather Friends.
Alison, thank you. Yes, that bridge - I loved it - sometimes I think the blurry photos are more interesting than the non-blurry photos. And that feline staff entrance, what a hoot. Or meow.
Thank you.
