So, I hope that you are all having a wonderful start to this glorious day...
It is raining here, so I sit here wondering if there will be football practice for my older son. He will be soo bummed.. but that is the way things go I guess...
Well, as of last week, my husband (not sure what to call him now as we are not divorced yet and a divorce has not been started)... but anyways.. We seperated last week and although most of you will be saying sorry.. what can you do to get back together for the kids, but to tell you the truth...without going into a lot of detail... It was one of the better decisions I have made in life and it feels good to back on the track of making life the best that I can make it for me and my kids...
In a short nutshell, I went to visit my brother who is homeless.. that is his choice and he refuses to do what is necessary to make a better life for himself.. but then again.. free meals and a free place to sleep how can that be so horrible.. he even gets to do his favorite thing all the time without worrying about anything... but anyways.. i learned at that moment talking to my brother..that my husband had no more ambition to life than my brother did to get himself off the streets. That was the start of things and then everything else just flooded me and I keep asking myself why I even put up with even half the stuff I put up with.. including past affairs while we were married thinking that things would even work out... ha ha ha he was fooling me just as much as I was fooling myself. Now a days, most people seperate due to another person .. but this is not the case here... I just coudl not accept living the life he wanted to live and that was living by just getting by doing only the minimum needed.
Enough bout that.. my daughter had 3 of her 6 fillings filled this morning.. she was not happy with me at all, but i let her stay home from school and play the WII... I just felt bad...
I do have a serious question though.. I know we earn points doin things here on gather and you really cannot calculate the points to figure out how many points you get for what... but my question here is now how many points can i make for something, but what can i do here for making points... I dont care how many points.. just was curious as to what does give you a point even if just one point... and what does not give you points for doing things.. I have heard that commenting on others works does not give you points.. It would be nice to be able to see a list of things we can do to earn points even if it does not say how many points...
thanks for taking the time to read this... I really do appreciate my freinds and fellow gatherers..
Trish

I am glad your daughter got her teeth taken care of.
the kids hate that he took all the nice things in the house.. like the 55" big screen tv.. his xbox 360.. the saltwater tank... the riding lawn mower.. now we have to push mow.. actually i look at that as forced excercise..lol
But we feel like the world opened to us and we feel so much happier.. and even the kids seem happier and not cranky or acting up so much.
I think they like keeping it a secret!
I don't think anyone really knows how to gain points on Gather. Other than getting page views, and giving page views to others. They say ratings don't count. But I think they do.
People who bug you about staying together for the kids need to mind their own dang business!
