In May I had the rare opportunity to be at the abbey and take some photos. I have always been fascinated by religious art, so this was definitely a rare treat for me. I could have stayed here for hours, studying the paintings.
Marianne, the photos do NOT do the place justice. I was simply in awe, especially when my "tour guide" was able to tell me the history behind a number of the paintings, and especially explaining the many layers of the dome above the altar.
