Whoever listens to Me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm. Proverbs 1:35
Before you decide whether to rent or buy ahouse, give these questions some thought.
1. Is your job secure enough to take on a mortgage?
2. How long do you plan on staying in the area?
3. What is the economy like in the area you are considering?
4. What is the cost of living in the new area?
Taken from the Investing for the Future calendar by Larry Burkett.
(my note: in my experience, mortgage payments are always cheaper than rent, but then again when renting the landlord is then responsible for home repairs too.)
