Sarah Pit Bull is still talking about the bridge

Pick at the little things.Dont mention all her the good things she has done and the great speech she made last night.Even the dem supporters and analysts were surprised.
She did initially support the bridge until she found the costs and a number of other factors were too high.
She slammed Obama on the experience field,it was so true and entertaining to boot.I heard a couple of the democratic analysts saying Obama will have trouble with this.Also noted that she got more votes, in her puny little town of wasilla,for mayor than Biden got running for president.

Compared to Obama's broken pledge and contract (intiated by him I might add) to accept public financing for his campaign, Sarah's actions show a higher level of integrity, and Obama's shows that he'll do the right thing when he thinks he can benefit, but when he doesn't need to do the right thing, he'll take the other road.

I'm not sure if you're upset that she did the right thing for American, that she bucked her state's rep. senator, or that she refused money that any governor would gladly have taken. What she did was great. Good for you Gov. Sarah Palin.

Bottom line is that when the money was in her hand, she did the right thing; and when Obama found out he could get more money in his hands, he threw out his word.

I don't believe Iraq's war is God's war. I don't believe that women should not have the right to decide on their pregnancies. Her and I are way too far on social issues. On economic issues, I don't agree with the GOP in general.

So, no I don't think she would be great for the job based on values and beliefs. You and I argued on Clinton and Obama. You either don't have principles or there is something else deeply rooted in you to not support the democrats. Your vote, your right. Just don't come and try to promote Palin after promoting Clinton.

You may wish to investigate these claims before you go trotting them out there like something resembling FACTS.

Clifford, Obama, experienced? When did that happen? His time in the senate has been spent running for president, he hasn't written any substantive legislation and he has a vice president rejected by the voters in his own party! Biden was forced out of the presidential race in 1988 and garnered about 9000 votes in 2008. You may want to argue if Palin is experienced enough to be president, but we know concretely, that no democrat wanted to see Biden as president.

Alan I did support Hillary wholeheartedly.She would have won the election for the dems.I now support Mccain.I am a registered democrat and have voted democrat almost all of the time.But I do have the sense to vote for the person,not the party.I also support the right to choose for women.But I cant help but think there are other important issues in this country right now.Obama does not have the experience to deal with anything more than making great speeches and campaigning. True, most eight-year-olds, even if raped, would not become pregnant, But what about a 12-year-old? Richard's example is extreme but not precedented. A nine-year-old in my town of 10,000 was raped last year. If that can happen in my town, how often do you think it happens in big cities? It is a very real possibility and forcing a child to have a child is just wrong.

Wilma, I am not arguing with the concept of teenage pregnancy as a result of rape to be a horror, I just detest extreme, provacative examples being used to try and prove a point.

I think so much is lost with this useless debate on "family values" and "bridges to nowhere." As I said on another thread, my problem with Palin is, does anyone think she would ever march into the oval office and disagree with John McCain on any policy? I believe Joe Biden would disagree with Obama, and I want a president who actually seeks consensus rather than going on his own instinct. I believe we have had enough of that type of thinking.

So she has not used the 60mil and is holding it to improve access to the island. It is earmarked money for that purpose. What is wrong with that? As to New Orleans they have been given more money than any disaster in history and are still crying for more. Maybe if the people of that city were to get off their duff and do something besides complaign they would be rebuilding instead of complaining. I certianly would re-thnk the idea of re-establishing a city built below sea level. They have already spent enough to build an entire new city OFF the flood plain.
