Aniko beat me to the publication of an article exploring "Summer Pics".

What joy the Summerpic festival has brought to all the members of Gather!
Without this incentive, I might never have photocopied the 240 postcards that lack sufficient information for an article.
And, I most certainly would not have re-tagged all the images in My Photos.
What treasures I rediscovered there!
The SummerPic Primotion stimulated profound intellectual and aesthetic discussions, too.
"What is a Summerpic?", "Will any old graphic do?", How many times can I re-publish the same rot?", were the kinds of questions that arose among the most serious members of Gather.
Eager to think outside the narrow categories of "Summer" and "picture", I found many images that stimulated thoughts of "Summer":

These are my personal favorites.
I am sure that you have learned to see "Summer" in many new ways.

So very true, Ron.
The winter scene from Wisconsin is really beautiful.
It is a lovely card, Martin.
I will use it as a screen saver in the winter months.
