"I had the privilege of living most of my life in a small town. I was just your average hockey mom, and signed up for the PTA because I wanted to make my kids' public education better. When I ran for city council, I didn't need focus groups and voter profiles because I knew those voters, and knew their families, too. Before I became governor of the great state of Alaska, I was mayor of my hometown. And since our opponents in this presidential election seem to look down on that experience, let me explain to them what the job involves. I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a 'community organizer,' except that you have actual responsibilities. ...
My response:
Sarah, I came from a small town. In most small towns the size of Wasilla, which was about 5-6,000 when you were mayor, the position of mayor was only a part-time job. Most mayors held down another job and did mayoral duties on a part-time basis. But most mayors don't come in and spend their first few months firing everybody that disagrees or didn't vote for them. Most mayors care more whether people are doing their jobs and taking care of business. You instead decide that you will punish people by taking away their income and putting their families in a difficult position--sort of the way you decided to treat your ex-brother-in-law when he divorced your sister.
As far as "executive" experience and how yours compares with Obama's...Obama has run a successful campaign with over 1,000 volunteers with a budget greater than the town of Wasilla. He beat Hillary Clinton and her well-run campaign. That qualifies as executive experience.
But since you're bringing up executive experience...what about your running mate? He has been a senator his whole life other than his time in the service. Do you think that he isn't qualified to run this country?

If I don't turn snake-oil Rudy off now, I will either have to throw things at the television, or throw up.
I thought Guliani did a great job at his speech delivery. Tonight was a much better RNC night for the Republican, than before. Now, if only it was true, instead of B#llSh&t.
I think she'll wear thin....like the church lady with her finger on the button.......not good for the tone in DC.
that's not change that's gridlock and disaster with everything we face? wow ...putting amarica first alright.....first to destroy it...they should take off their republican hats and see they are americans first.
good thing is biden can slug her and no one will mind.
He never ran for Governor of the state and I'm fairly certain that was because at least in part because he felt there were others more qualified. There were. A little humility can be a good thing.
See my HERE

As for Palin disrespecting all of us who have served our community by saving that it doesn't carry responsibility. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Too bad she didn't grow up in Chicago, she'd have been lost in the crowd. Give me a freeakin break - a town of 5000?????? 47th state population wise. Yeah, they lie a lot. Most of us never heard of her, but they said she is the most popular governor in America. Well, maybe to 80% of 600,000 remote people. Move her to NY and see how popular she is.
Sarah Palin is insignificant. She was entertainment for the convention. It was safer than a naked boy jumping out of a cake.
We are being critical because our lives depend on it...and I am sure she has good qualities and intentions but they are based on her belief that God speaks to her...just like Bush....are they listening?
Careful what you quote, MickyMouse! Rezko? Letsseeeeeee? What party is he connected to? Not only that, but McCain has ties to him--real estate ties?--does he not? Arizona...Arizona...Arizona!
And I'm waiting the St. Louis-Washington University debate betweeen Mc'Same's eye candy Pale-Inn; vs. Joe Biden (international diplomat) with bated breath.
Biden will shank the undereducated poser-skank. No doubt.
Now...what do you bet, they cry "mysoginististic" (creative emphasis.)
"Oee-eee-ew!!!!! don't be mean to the "little" woman!!!!!
If the "little woman --The poser on Vogue's cover--is going to represent my nation--she better get with the NATIONAL and INTERnational programs.
But, No. She's too busy figuring out which BOOKS to BURN at her local library...
Sheesch!

Of course, you could expect that I would disagree. I'm impressed with Sarah Barracuda.
I have a cousin who had a child with Down's, and she had to work. She researched the syndrome and had the appropriate therapy given. He is now about 30 years old, has a job, and has a Down's "girlfriend" and she has a job and lives with my cousin and him.
Just FYI.
John McCompromise is still a loose cannon, so I'd rather see Barracuda as Pres.
One thing more. There were several comments above of saying she lied. Can you/they be specific? Did Obama NOT vote "Present" 130 times in the state legislature? for one.

It's fascinating to read all the self congratulatory encouragement these keyboarders are typing to egg each other on to more and more daring insults.
