lillie lost another tooth (her 3rd) and now she's using straws exclusively to show everyone her great grin in action. can you believe how she's growing up, she's 6 now. time flies!! her very short haircut is slowly growing out. she wants to do locks of love, which is what i am *almost* ready to do.

my mom just got back from greece, and we spent a lovely afternoon making this super delicious greek pastry with a creamy custard inside, called bougatsa. oh, my, it was so good we had to make it twice!

we ordered 3 bushels of peaches. i know. what was i thinking? we got 1 bushel in the freezer already, and i am making peach jam galore. yummy for us!

my friend patti digh's new book is out today - it is called life is a verb. it is one of the best books i've ever read. here, we posed the book with lillie's newly traded pokemon card, since it was important to her.

we swam a few times in lake michigan this past weekend. it was SO warm, we didn't want to get out!

Will you be sharing the recipe for the bougatsa? I'm a sucker for anything with custard inside.....!
Great photo essay as usual... I miss seeing them more often!
thanks for the break!
