According to Animal Shelter magazine, the Netherlands has lifted its 15 year ban on the breeding or possession of pit bulls, after studies showed conclusively that Breed Specific Legislation (or BSL) does not work. Instead of reactionary measures like BSL, the Netherlands will instead concentrate on local leashing laws and education. Now if Denver could just get its head out of its rear on the issue!
