Your other questions are up for discussion here, unless you want to kick one off and link to it.
With working my real job and voulunteering for the RNC at a Bloomington hotel, I haven't had time to go downtown.
Tonight it's coney dogs at The Gopher, beers at Alarys and Original Coney Island! I plan on bringing my camera and wearing my NRA t-shirt!
otoh, we in Minnesota would be able to elect a new (and better) governor.
Better get the Obama tire gauge, his campaign is losing air!
The more the mainstream media rips on her, the more dedidcated the base gets.
People can see media bias, they see it happening with Palin, they will vote for her because the media looks like they are piling on!
Short answer, won't know total until later.
If you have your camera downtown, please consider taking some pictures & posting them here or otherwise sharing them with MPR. No harm or foul either way.
Dunno, Susan. I'd be surprised if Palin stepped down or was otherwise ushered out, but I'm no wonk. FWIW I read that Gov. Pawlenty was still being vetted as late as Thursday 8/28/2008, but DON't quote me as can't find it in my link mess. Maybe that was on MinnPost? He was very gracious when addressing the question at the state fair Friday the 29th, and kept right on with the show, and I get the feeling that he was very, very close to the tap... but that's all personal assessment. Again, I'm no wonk. You want wonk? We got it!
Diversion? Covering all bases? I don't suppose many people in the running would say, "Thanks, but no." to a VP offer, but who knows.
I guess as feminist as I am, if five months prior I'd given birth to my fifth child who had special needs and my teenaged daughter was now pregnant and looking at keeping the baby *and* getting married, even if I were the main breadwinner, I'd hope I'd say, "No, thanks, let's look at the offer in five years."
Because if she's really, truly qualified, her opportunity will come again. I can't say anything besides what I would do, Julia, but I, in a similar situation, couldn't make the sacrifices that she's going to face by being the VP of the USA.
