What my Kids Learned to do this Summer...(4 photos)

Since Christopher is about old enough to get his learner's permit (9 days and counting), Mike and felt the kids should learn basic skills....

The kids had to learn how to change the oil in the truck....

And I do mean both kids. Mike had each one check the level of the oil. Pher had to crawl underneith and change it too....

Angela had to put the coolant in....and Pher added the windshield wiper fluid.

Both kids know how to change a tire also. I feel it's important to learn all of these skills BEFORE they learn how to drive.

Changing oil and learning the basics can save $$$$$. Always use the best of everything you can get for your vehicle pay now or pay a lot more later.

Great 'lessons' to learn, -- never ever know when you will need to do this!!! (Pher is really "taking it in" in the first picture. Angela 'knows' she got this down)!!!!!

I totally agree! About all I know how to do in a vehicle is put gas in it and windshield fluid. Luckily I'm a woman so I'm hoping some nice man would stop and change my flat tire. Otherwise I'll be stranded by the side of the road. And eventually I'll be so old that probably no one will stop anymore. LOL

Excellent training! My daughter has a friend that doesn't know how to do ANY of this stuff. It boggles the mind that you'd give someone a new car and then not show them HOW to take care of it.
