Kyleigh's Story - Squirrel Encounter

The weekend of 8/24/08, my mom took Kyleigh to Yang Ming Mountain National Park for sight-seeing. There Kyleigh met a new friend, the squirrel.

Unlike in America where squirrels are roaming all over the place, you can't really find any squirrels in Taiwan unless you go into the mountains. I am very surprised that my mom got such a close-up shot of this little guy.

Kyleigh was watching the squirrel who climbed up the tree. It's a bit hard to see but he's on the smaller side branch on the left side of the tree.

Then the squirrel jumped to the top of the railing, and Kyleigh followed him.

It must have been a fun trip for Kyleigh.

Since we don't have old trees that are close together, we don't get any squirrels on our property but there are tons of them in the state forest behind our house. I see them on the main road too. Glad that Kyleigh got to see one and enjoyed herself on her little trip. Thanks for sharing.
