We woke up to a nice cool day here in SC and I decided it was the perfect opportunity to go to Huntington Beach State Park for some photographs. DH wanted to wait until after lunch though and it was a little hotter but didn't seem too bad. There was a nice breeze blowing. We went for a couple of hours and I was pleasantly surprised at all the birds at the marsh area and along the waterways. One side is salt water and the other is fresh water marsh. I was hoping to see an alligator, but again I didn't. One of these times I will. DH saw one in April! I did see a few birds that I've never seen before. This is a place you can go to every day and still see something new. There are a few birds in this group that I saw for the first time. I'm posting all of my photos from today's trip for the photopixs and after the promotion I'll do a few photo essays by grouping the birds in batches. So please, you don't need to comment on the photos (unless you'd like to) individually but I hope you enjoy paging through them.

There's more to come....
