No, Delores, not where it belongs, but where it is. Our media is a reflection of us. How many viewers watch Fox or MSNBC instead a less biased network like PBS or C-Span, or even better... read the actual documentation! Alas, the truth is often too "liberal."

What has Bush and Co done for us? It is ironic that Palin runs on a platform teaching abstinance only sex ed with an unwed, preggers teenage daughter. Have you not seen any of her speaches, interviews or documents? This what she has stated many times and what she stands for. So, either she teaches abstanance only (or nothing) to her kids, or she's a hipocrit. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt. She seems like a strong woman, who practices what she preaches. I could be wrong.

Anyway, it's not about her, but about her theories that don't work... that haven't worked in 8 yrs. And whether we want those theories in place in our state.

As far as Palin teaching one thing and her daughter doing something else, how can she (Palin) be held accountable for her daughters actions? How many of us parents have told our child something and they did what they want anyhow?

To me, her family values, is more about how she is handling a situation that is close to her and she has little control over.

As far as the rest of the rant, it seems the liberals have learned from the conservatives pretty well. Didn't the conservatives try to drag Chelsea Clinton through the mud? Among other less than honest tactics?

I realize that we cannot control the actions of our children. That's why it's important to have other options when abstinance doesnt work out.... obviously, there was no plan B (as in Birth control).

And Chelsea is in her late twenties and has not managed to get herself knocked-up.

Abortion is being redifined by the current administration to include oral contraception and the morning after pill because they do not stop conception but rather implantation. So, yes, Palin, McCain, Bush et al and the religious right are against the birth control pill and emergency contraception (as in the case of rape victims in the ER). And they are for abstinence only sex education (aka dont give out condoms).

Soon we will all be like the FLDS women, having 10 kids a piece. Mmmmm, driving a van (or bus!) with these gas prices.....

No Lera I was pointing out the only witness to these incidents are family members. I have been through 3 divorces and know how nasty they can be. Emotions run high.

So I am very sceptical of these admissions.

When the 11 year old supposedly got tassered how come the police werent called right then and there? Where are the doctors or ER notes to back it up? My nephew got tasered and he was a grown man...so they are basically saying that the tasering incident happened but it wasnt important until it was brought up in divorce court.

If the incident happened and the police investigates I guarantee that the officer would have been not only fired for tasering an 11 year old child but also charged with assault on a minor....probably felony assault.

So again where are the hospital notes PROVING this happened.

THis whole issue is the Liberals are scared of her. They talk the talk about anti-corruption, but they run whenever anyone actually tries to fight it. Then they support politicians that are heavy into corruption like they are gods.

Palin was a genius pick for McCain, but, because she's attractive, vibrant, has a vagina and a great story, not because she'll do any good for the majority of our country. All of this, from the mooseburgers to the teenage pregnancy, are welcome distractions from the Bush/Cheney mess, but ultimately it's the same party, with the same bad reputation and big business agenda. The same party that sent your sons off to a war for profit, and voted against proper equipment for them while at war, and voted against proper medical for them when they returned. The party that has borrowed trillions from the Chinese just to turn around give it to the middle east countries who hate us. The party that has us teetering on the edge of an economic catastrophy greater than the great depression. The party that will lead us into the next global war, trying to force their agenda worldwide. I will not vote for a woman because she is a woman. Palin is against everything I believe in. She is a creationist that thinks creationism should be taught alongside of evolution in the schools. She believes that it is acceptable to censor books in libraries, and then try to fire the librarian for not going along with you. She is anti-abortion...even in cases of rape and incest and when the mother's health is at risk. She disbelieves global warming, and sued to have polar bears removed from the endangered species list just to protect her interests in natural gas and oil. It isn't sexism to point out the woman's views do not mesh with the majority of women in this country. but it is sexism for McCain to think women are interchangeable and that he can just "switch out" Hillary for Palin.

Who in the heck is she ? No one knew who she was until last week and I cannot imagine a single woman who has an ounce of class who would want her in office.

McCain basically took out a piece of paper, wrote a bunch of names down and picked one from a hat. He could have chosen Strawberry Shortcake or the Pine Sol Lady and Christian Extremist women and the GOP would have said, "Okay, sure."

Not only does his judgement show that he is not running his campaign, and that he is blindly trusting Bush backers, it shows that he is completely out of touch with American women.

The majority of educated women in this country wait to have children and are not fundamentalists. Sarah Palin is a fundamentalist and she is lacking in experience and intelligence. Her teenage daughter is a liability and would make it "ok" for other teens to be pregnant. The White House should represent the best of America and not the worst.

And I’ve learned quickly, these past few days, that if you’re not a member in good standing of the Washington elite, then some in the media consider a candidate unqualified for that reason alone.”

But where did we go wrong with Sarah Palin? Let me count the ways:

First, we should have stuck to the warm, human interest stuff like how she likes mooseburgers and hit an important free throw at her high school basketball tournament even though she had a stress fracture.

Second, we should have stuck to the press release stuff like how she opposed the Bridge to Nowhere (after she supported it).

Third, we should never have strayed into the other stuff. Like when The Washington Post recently wrote: “Palin is under investigation by a bipartisan state legislative body. … Palin had promised to cooperate with the legislative inquiry, but this week she hired a lawyer to fight to move the case to the jurisdiction of the state personnel board, which Palin appoints.”

Why go there? What trees does that plant?

"Liberal Media" is hog wash. The media is an equal opportunity pot stirrer. Did not see them give my guy, Edwards, a pass. They did not take the day off for him and the won't for Palin. Her problem is that she has just come onto their radar and. if you count bloggers, there will be thousands of folks looking for something to write about, and they don't care about your values, politics, or anything else. They succeed when they find a STORY and the competition is fierce.

Rereading my original post I should have said "heard of." Ray does not pass the test.

Let try this ONE MORE TIME. Media wants STORIES!!! They don't care whose ox gets gored. They found out Edwards got a 400 dollar haircut. They are going to find out a lot more about Palin too.
