Bronze Statues in Front of the Botanical Gardens in Athens, Ga...

In front of the Welcome Center at the Georgia Botanical Gardens in Athens, Georgia are a group of statues. They are a teacher and her students apparently the students are attempting to catch butterflies and studying. There are seven of them, one teacher and six students.

I watched as they were being mounted a couple of years back now. They appear to be just standing in the grass but looks are deceiving as they are firmly anchored to the concrete hidden beneath them.

I thought I would share them with you...I took these photos this June 2008...
