Ready or not, here it comes. Today is the orientation for my 3rd year of medical school. They'll likely be taking a new picture for my badge, taking us around the hospital, and telling us what we may be expecting over the next year. It's time to start applying all of this knowledge that I've been accumulating. I know it'll be scary, but I should be learning so much in a very short amount of time. If you all get a chance, please have a look at the new pages of pictures I posted yesterday. A simple moment of your time will do so much to help this poor, tired med student afford groceries. Thank you for all the support, I appreciate it.

I have to agree with you about waiting being the hardest part often. Luckily for you, you have a ton of online friends that believe in you and are sending you the very best wishes and thoughts to help you get through the day.
Throughout the rest of your journey, there will be days that you will feel so overwhelmed that you may feel that the journey is pointless or that the best thing to do is give up. Don't listen to those doubts. You have made a good decision. You have worked hard to get this far and you will continue to do whatever is necessary to finish. YOU can do this! Your online friends and your offline friends and family believe in you. Just keep believing in yourself.
Remind yourself that each day is just another step down the road to complete your journey so you will be able to start another one. Keep moving down that road!
My oldest daughter is starting her freshman year of college, she plans on pursuing a medical degree.
