An original poem in Gujarati with English transcreation:
Fakir chhoon, bhogio saathe naa pan phaave
rasik chhoon, jogio saathe naa pan phaave,
maya ne bhram na gunchvada maan,
amir chhoon, lobhio saathe naa pan phaave.
(c) Max Babi 07102008
Transcreation in English :
Am just a 'fakir', may not get along with dissolutes
Am just gourmant, may not get along with ascetics,
In the labyrinthine maze of maya and illusions,
Am affluent, may not get along with greedy ones.
(c) Max Babi 08312008.

On hundreds of occasions, I have proven my knowledge of Hindu mythology and religion far superior to my close friends, all Hindus who didn't know anything of Islam. Thus such an insult would not appear like an insult to me... hence I didn't respond. Your second post seems so humble, I had to respond !
Valeikum assalaam ! God be with you...
