Do you know that listening to loud music on our Ipods or mp3’s can lead us to a certain symptom or disease? Including too much exposure of noise that we can get from pubs and night clubs? Ever notice of that so called “ringing in the ears” after hearing too much noise? What exactly is this condition? Where do we get this and how do we prevent it? For some people, they commonly call it as hissing, buzzing, or even whistling noises in the ears. In medical terms, this is called Tinnitus – a permanent ringing of the ears that can cause you distraction. This may be a serious condition that will later lead you to a chronic symptom or disorder.
There are a lot of reasons why some people have this condition. High blood or low blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid problems, a tumor near the ear and old age are among the known causes of this condition. Furthermore, ear ringing causes three main things, one of the main causes of ear ringing is too much noise we hear from our surroundings. Damage happens with each exposure to noise. Lack of sleep, stress and anxiety makes it even worse.
We already know that stress and anxiety will enrage ear hearing if you have already experienced such condition for a long time. When people have sinus and allergies, they take antibiotics to cure it. However, one of the side effects of it is that the mucous in the inner ear will become thicker. This can lead to infections and ear ringing. In other words, any condition that involves hearing problems probably shows symptoms to ringing of the ears or tinnitus.
As it has been known, this condition cannot be cured by simply taking pills or even going to a therapist. A lot of sufferers experience disappointment with little or no reduction in the levels of the ear ringing. Hence, we can prevent and lessen the noise by reducing stress, get a lot of sleep, maintain normal blood pressure, and avoid being exposed to very loud noises. Also, cleaning our ears using cotton swabs will do. In simple ways, we can be able to help ourselves from not having a tinnitus.
Having a good sense of hearing is quite often something that we don't appreciate until we start to develop problems with our ears. Let us start taking care of our ears and prevent ringing of the ears to build a good and healthy lifestyle we all wanted.
