A Lawn Bowls event that attracts clubs from all around the Newcastle region annually with proceeds going towards a charitable cause, equipping local surf clubs with surf skis. These are used for their surf rescue efforts.
Who knows how many lives are saved due to the efforts of people generously giving their money, time, talent and love of a sport that seemingly has nothing to do with the beach or ocean.
