I got to meet fellow Gather member Fåith βråns⊗n!!!

I got to meet fellow Gather member •Fåith βråns⊗n•!!!  We met at the Portland Zoo and we had a wonderful time!  For me, when I meet new people, there always seems to be an awkward moment and you never know what to say.  That didn't happen when Faith and I met - it's like we had been lifelong friends!  We had so much to talk about and there was never a "weird" moment.

We spent the afternoon at the Portland Zoo.  There were 10 of us all together...  Faith, her husband Travis and two of her sons, Alex and Rylan.  Unfortunately Xenon was with his grandparents and we didn't get to meet him.  There was also my husband RJ, my parents, my kids and of course... ME!!!

Faith and her family are GREAT!  I really wish we could have spent more time together.  We have already talked about meeting up more often, meeting 1/2 way from our homes which is about 3 1/2 hours for each of us to meet in the middle!

My son and Faith's middle son are only 3 months apart in age.  They got along great, after about 20 minutes of my son being shy.  They are both typical 7 year old boys, LOL!

Aww Bridget -- I felt the exact same way when I met you and your family! There was never any awkward moments and it really did feel like we had known each other our whole lives. I'm just really sad that you live so far away. I know we talk every day online, but it's just not the same as being able to spend time with someone in person.

I love your photo essay -- the pictures turned out really, really cute! We did have such a good time together... the zoo was a lot of fun, even though it was a SCORCHER that day.

I should get my photo essay posted one of these days, huh? People keep asking me about it... miss you!!!

I am glad you got to meet! I know what a wonderful experience that can be....I have some internet friends that I meet up with occasionally. We met at another "well known" site ten years or so ago. Every couple of years we try to get together in the "real" world. We always have a blast as well.

Thanks for sharing this. Yeah its great when you can actually meet an internet friend. I had the pleasure last year of meeting a group of internet friends, whom I still keep in contact with, as well as my partner, who was a part of that same group, but at that time was unable to attend that get together, but was able some months later to meet me at my home where we hit it off, and eventually became a couple.

Thanks Bridget. I had looked for a post on both sites day after day and never found one. But I miss a lot of articles. I can check for articles everyday on many peoples pages and they will not show up for me until weeks later. I am so glad you told me today that you had posted it. I kept hounding Faith too as to when one of you guys were going to put up your pictures.
I am so happy that your families got to meet and you had such a great time together. The times I have talked to Faith on the phone makes me want to meet her too.
