I saved $98.50 at Kroger yesterday, netting $260 worth of groceries for just over $150. We got so much stuff!
Here are some of the best deals.
For $7, I got:
3 Diet Pepsi 12 packs
2 Diet Coke 12 packs
2 Sobe Life Waters
1 2-liter Sierra Mist Free
1 2-liter Diet A&W Rootbeer
Wow, right?
Pop 12 packs were on sale 4/$12. If you bought 4, you got a 5th one free.
I had two $1 off 1 Coke product 12 pack coupons,
which Kroger doubled,
bringing the total for the 5 12 packs down to $7.
Then, I had two coupons good for a free Sobe Life Water with the purchase of a Pepsi 12 pack.
AND, I had a coupon good for a free 2-liter of Sierra Mist Free with the purchase of 3 Diet Pepsi 12 packs.
Kroger let me use all of these.
I also had a coupon for a free Diet A&W Rootbeer 2 liter.
We've got enough pop for at least a month (I'd like to see it last two or three months, but we'll see).
Free things I got:
French's Mustard (on sale 10/$10, I had a $.50 off coupon, which Kroger doubled)
Cattlemen's BBQ Sauce (on sale $1.50, I had a $.75 off coupon, which Kroger doubled)
No Nonsense Nylons (clearance at $1.75, I had a $1 off coupon, which Kroger doubled)
3 Gerber Graduates meals (10/$10, I had a $.50 off coupon, which Kroger doubled)
Sam doesn't usually eat baby food, but he really likes the noodles with chicken and vegetables and they're great to have on hand if we're having something spicy that he won't/can't eat.
Other great deals:
2 packs Ballpark Franks for $1.59 (BOGO = 2 pks/$3.59; I had a $1 off coupon, then doubled)
I had a coupon for $3 off a purchase of $10 in health & beauty, so I bought:
2 Covergirl "simply powder foundations" = $16.36
BUT, I had 2 coupons each good for $2 off a Covergirl purchase, which made them $12.36.
Then, I had 2 coupons each good for a free Covergirl product with the purchase of a CG foundation, so I picked up lipgloss for $6.22 and TruBlend Minerals powder for $7.79 and got them each free.
Then, I got the additional $3 off, so:
2 Covergirl powder foundations
1 Wetslicks Crystals lipgloss
1 TruBlend Minerals powder
$9.36 TOTAL (retail $30.37)
This was a splurge for me and not something I'd normally spend the money on. BUT...One of the powder foundations and the lipgloss is getting tucked away to give to my daughter for her birthday in November. The other foundation and the powder are for me.
Dove new Fresh Shampoo, regularly $3.99
On Sale $2/7 or $3.50 each
I had a $2 off coupon, so I got it for $1.50.
I had gotten a sample of this and loved the grapefruit scent and how it made my hair feel, but I usually only buy the Suave when it's 10/$10. I was really happy to get Dove for $1.50.
Kroger had a ton of meat in the "clearance" section (okay, it's not called that, but there's this corner that ALWAYS has meat marked way down because it's got to be sold). I got 3 packs of beautiful boneless pork loin, sliced, for $3-4 each and 2 packs of the super-expensive Laura's 4% fat ground beef for $3 each.
I'll use the ground beef in dishes where I can skim by with less meat without my husband noticing, like spaghetti, put leftover pork in the slow cooker to make BBQ pork sandwiches, ect... Meat for 5-10 meals for the three of us for $15? I was really happy with that.
When we left, my husband just said "Wow." We won't be going to the store for a month, except to refill the milk and bread. We got some serious pantry staples and snacks (though not at terribly reduced prices, but I'm always looking for a bargain. Bread for $.69? We'll have sandwiches for dinner).
Our refridgerator, freezer and pantry are bursting at the seams.
