Do You Get Motion Sickness

This is really a deterrent to a lot of people when it comes to going on some of the attractions at Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.  Well, everyone, there is a way to go on those attractions that make you queasy just thinking about them.

Have you heard of Sea Bands?  Someone at work told me about them, and swore by them.  I went to Wal Mart and purchased a set of them for a little under $15.00.  The best investment I have ever made.  They are a set of black wrist bands with a small, hard knob located on the inside of the bands.  You place the knobs on the inside of your wrist on a specific pressure point.  Directions do indicate where to place the knobs.

And they work.  I get car sick if I do not drive.  Not with Sea Bands.  I was finally able to enjoy Soarin', Star Tours, Body Wars.  It was a whole new experience for me.

 If Sea Bands are not located with other motion sickness items, ask at the pharmacy.

I've heard of these, my mother bought them for her 5 hour Cat ride to Nova Scotia. I have noticed the older I get, the more sensitive to motion I've become.
I don't get motion sick, but am glad you found something that works for you.

I don't normally get motion sickness. I've noticed as I've gotten older I sometimes feel a bit "off" when getting off of an amusement park ride.

I've heard of several things like this and a lot of people swear by them. I'll keep an eye out to have some in the car in case I'm driving with others who forget to have car sickness mitigation methods at hand.

I've never had motion sickness to that severity level but I know Sea Bands work for many people who do.

Now I need a cure for "Fear of hights." That's my problem when I am at Disney World, at least once or twice a year. Never been on Thuder Mountain or any of the other high rides

Renda, thanks. I did not know what I was missing. Tried Body Wars before I got them, and after 10 seconds had to close my eyes for the rest of the ride.

Nana, then Sea Bands are for you. I am the same way. The summer I got them, had to ride in the back of a van all the way from Ohio to Orlando. Not one problem!

I cant' ride any of the rides the go around and around. My equilibrium gets screwed up and I get very nauseated. Anthing else (upside down, rollercoasters, etc.) I am fine to ride.

I don't know if you can find them anywhere other than WalMart, I never looked. If they are not located with the motion sickness medication, then ask the Pharmicist. The best $15.00 I have ever spent.

I never have tried them for rides (I can do roller coasters but not the swirley ones) but I don't get motion sickness other than that though.

Yes, they did work! It was my van she rode in and I can say not one problem! Now, if she could just find a cure for my fear of rollercoasters...

I always wondered if they worked. I get terribly motion sick no matter what sort of vehicle I ride in. The worst for me was taking a cruise. Even though they gave me medication, I still suffered. If I could find something that worked, it would be wonderful!

Luckily I seem to be immune to the common causes of motion sickness. When I go to the amusement park I ride all the rides. I knew someone that could ride the roller coaster all day, but put them on the ferris wheel or carousel and they'd blow chunks after one spin.

I got motion sickness until I was like 12 and learned to overcome it on my own. My daughter went through the same thing and got her the sea bands. They are amazing!

G`s in a plane twisted roads and Boats nothing makes me sick. But my wife and my Son both are tossing cookies the minuet we leave a flat surface. Hum?

Coolness, never had a problem with that myself though. I do have a fear of heights and am severely allergic to pain in general so that would be why I won't be caught on any of those coasters, lol!!

I've heard of these... Oddly enough, when I was a child I would occasionally get car sick but grew out of it. Then, after having my first child I got horribly motion sick the first time I sat on a swing... I wasn't even swinging, I just sat down! lol Swings are one of my favorite stress busters, so I worked at it and regained my balance.

I rarely get motion sickness and if I do, it's very mild. And never when I'm out in the fresh air - only if reading too long in the car or something.

I never heard of them, glad they help  you.  I know some people who have gotten very ill from just a ride in the car.
