Governor Sarah Palin, newly named vice presidential pick of John McCain faces an ethics investigation in her home state of Alaska, a state that has experienced more than it's share of public servant corruption, of late. It is alleged she used her office to force out the top Alaska law enforcement officer that would not fire a state trooper that was engaged in a highly acrimonious child custody case with her sister. I'll let you come to your own conclusions. I'm not defending the trooper in the least, but some of this article raises some pretty big questions about Palin, and her political allies, that put enormous pressure on this guy to fire her ex brother in law, and fired the man when he refused to bow to that pressure. Nothing new, the conservative mantra is do what I say, not what is right, in this, and a few million other cases. Arrogance, just what we need in our next vice president, and quite likely, considering McSames age, probable future president. The ARTICLE

However is shows a little bit of Cheney here. Using your power to bend the rules even if you are doing the "right" thing (in your mind).
""""Governor Sarah Palin, newly named vice presidential pick of John McCain faces an ethics investigation in her home state of Alaska, a state that has experienced more than it's share of public servant corruption, of late.""""
Guess who exposed all that corruption over the past 10 years? Yep, that's why she is V. P.
I am so assured. I wonder why there is an investigation?, and it does appear she abused her office, Jeff, right or wrong. I never said I defended her ex brother in law, but you don't just use your office and political clout to do what she did.
As for her being the one to expose the corruption I was talking about, hardly, it was exposed on a national level.
She's not, yet, Jeff. Saying mission accomplished before the fact should be something you people should be getting a clue by now isn't such a good idea, but I guess not.

Grow up Ron.
Damn, and I thought this arthritis said I did, already.
I think there is, on a comedic basis, but I'd like to get a chance to give him a few suggestions, either way.
Cracked me UP!
Who would Jesus shoot? Did they even have guns back then? LOL
As for the article (being accurate ,"fair "), there are other ones that indicate another view. I don't know. She made enemies overturning the Alaska Republican old guard. What is clear is Palin took on big oil ,and opposed and got cancelled "the bridge to nowhere " pork project, etc. Sarah Barracuda was her nickname as a basketball star (high school). She plays to win. Interesting that McCain hardly knows her. He knew the other candidates much better. I wouldn't want her as VP, for sure. I would vote for "anyone but McCain" for President.
It's not that "Clark" - it's Clarke.
Another sign of John McCain's poor judgment. He is literally off his rocker. Would you trust the security of the nation to someone you met only once, six months ago.
An interview in the latest Newsweek magazine is very revealing. I don't think was McCain's decsion himself at all -- it was the Buchanan and Huckabee types who are controlling his campaign. They have put a muzzle on the old maverick, and they are pulling out all the stops to energize a dying campaign by appealing to the evangelical Christians, period.
Sadly, they are using this woman as a prop -- which is an affront to all women of integrity.

Arrogance? Are you sure that's not the Obama/Biden ticket you're talking about?
