What goes into a Book Of Shadows and why is it so important to a Witch?

Everything goes into a witch's book... Herbcrafting recipes, spells, everything... and there is a proviso that the book must look like any other book and several copies must be made. This is a hedge against times when "witch hunters" might again be persecuting practitioners of the faith. Also, that is why all the witch's tools must be simple, everyday objects: A regular kitchen knife for an athame, a broomstick, a crucible for incense, etc., too.

Everything goes into a BOS, Spells, Rituals, that you write yourself, ,All should have the REDE, and the three fold law,You can also have poems, and recipes, info on herbs, stones, color, Moon phases, inscents, candles, your history as a witch, Info of your dreams, your drawings, and photos.
It is important to us because it is like our Bible.
