The Lady

She dazzles the eyes with her mature, yet youthful beauty.
Her clothing has come from the very best shops in Paris.

When she walks gracefully down the avenue
every man turns his head to look.

Her eyes are, doe soft, deep and dark.
They hold so many wonderful secrets.

Speak silent promises of of delight.
None she ever intends to keep.

With a gentle cant of head, an enchanting smile,
she strolls onward, plainly a bit amused.

Not for them is the honey of her kiss.
Nor the delight promised in her soft dark eyes.

She saves them all for someone very special.
Someone her heart truly does love.

She stops at a tiny side walk cafe, then
takes her seat to order a small latte.

There she sedately will wait.
Perhaps she orders a small roll to sate hunger.

Till her true love arrives, while the men around all sigh.
They pine away for her warm embrace.

She quietly awaits her date not looking their way at all.
With tiny nibbles that heat the males to unreturned passion.

They gain nothing from the lovely lady at all.
No interest is shown by their hearts desire.

Then at last her love arrives without even a carraige.
He comes on foot carrying a small bouquet.

He smiles and pays for her small repast.
The young pair then walk away.

The young lady is so elegant and fine.
The young man so strong and handsome.

Together at last they leave the crowd behind.
Heading for their destination.

Alone at last, the pair embrace.
For this one man alone is her honeyed kiss.

They at last repair to their private indoor place
that all true lovers turn into Paradise.

They lose themselves in one another.
United in their ecstasy.

For tonight the world will vanish.
All cares vanish, sorrow will drift away.

For love is the key
to unlock the mystery

of the secret in her eyes.
Its not so profound, you see.

The lady has already chosen her love.
That was all the secret there ever was.
