Okay, I will try to refrain from posting the ugly animals. LOL

The Atlanta zoo is the home to the official Atlanta Hawk and Atlanta Falcon.

I just love watching the otters, and they were one of the few animals that were playing around. I have many other otter photos, but I don't want to bore you.

It's mine! No, it's mine....LOL The tug of war game was a lot of fun to watch.

I had posted the lioness from the one pen...but here's the lion. He was just pacing around in circles. We think it was about dinner time.

Yes, Angela's my little monkey. LOL

This was the best shot through the glass I could get. The gorillas were just so far away too.

Willie B. was the most famous resident of Zoo Atlanta.

If I wasn't watching the otters, I was watching the meerkats. I like this shot, because you can see part of both "cages." It almost looks like there's a mirror.

They were acting like they were trying to escape....it reminded me of the penguins in the movie Madagascar.

The side of the hill had a bunch of cheetah statues.

The flamingos are the first thing you see when you enter Zoo Atlanta and the last animals as you leave. The attraction really smells bad too...ewwwww...

I just ~knew~ she was hatched....LOL

This was it for the so called bird house....not impressed at all....

The zebras and gazilles were too far away to get a good shot.
Well, here ends the photo tour of Zoo Atlanta....I do have lots of other photos, but they aren't that great.

In grad school one of my feature writing classes had an assignment/interview with local flair requirement. I actually spent a day with one of the lead "Keepers" at Zoo Atlanta and got to go behind the scenes for feedings, health checks and some other things that a normal visitor would never get to see. It was quite an experience. This was also back in 1994 when the zoo was one of the best in the nation.

Now those gorillas have it 'made in the shade'!!!!!!!!!!!

You took some great photos (other than the monkeys, lol, and only cuz they never like me!), I loved them all. What is it about monkeys and me? Nice job!
