Fights and chocolates

A trivial fight has spread over, burnt

and left its ashes. All around.

While you are thinking of the blood desert

of war and I am of a world

in domestic pitch let's not forget the

little boys' fights which have equal

worth. The blue spot on his knee does not tell

the hurt and the momentary

fury he has felt. Of course their fathers

are more likely carry on

with these matters. Even some weeks later.

And in all probability

the boys have gone back to the times of sharing

a bar of chocolate or something.

No kidding - I remember my son having a fight at daycare (one boy had hit the other over the head with a Tonka truck, because the other wouldn't share) and by the time the teacher could work up a good lecture on how to get along, they'd gone back to playing happily together and really didn't want to discuss it. It was OVER in two seconds, as far as they were concerned. Hurt and outrage had been expressed, and play was far more fun. Too bad adults so often can't remember that.

I think you meant "later," not "latter." I don't really understand "I am of a world in domestic pitch" - and I'd suggest "His blue spot on his knee" be changed to "The blue spot on his knee" (to avoid the repetition of the word "his" so close together).

would it not be closer to the earthly paradise that is seemingly so far from reach if disputes were settled with a boyish (or girlish ) wrestle(tussle) and sharing of a sweet
if only all arguments could end with the sharing of a chocolate bar or something..what can we learn from children...

Having raised boys, I'm smiling.
Now to get my cleaning ladies grandma brigade going with their mops and brooms around the world, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning out the cluttery messes of the military planners. Just cleaning those plans right off the page, off the screens, cleaning them right out of the minds of those who thought them up.

The story in this poem has a nice gentle flow and I like your subtle metaphor against violence and war.
In this line, 'are more likely carry on'. it should read, 'are more likely to carry on.'
