VoIP sure does have its benefits.

I know from experience the benefit of VoIP. VoIP is cheap, and once you get over the initial set up, is very easy to use. It's nice not to have a phone bill every month. Also, like a cell phone, I can store many numbers and dial them just by clicking on the contact name.

I have a cell phone in addition to VoIP (voice over internet protocol). I get very poor reception in my apartment, so I use VoIP whenever I'm home. Doing so saves me from using minutes on my cell phone plan. My cell phone also has many technical difficulties associated with it. With voice over ip, I can use a regular phone, and don't have to deal with those issues. I can change my number whenever I want without having to make a phone call. I just use the VoIP interface.

I would recommend voice-over internet protocol to anyone. It is especially handy when used in addition to a cell phone service. If I run out of minutes at the end of the month, I can still have long conversations with friends and family using my VoIP. I don't have to worry about limitations on usage. The audio quality is also very good. It comes with voice mail as an included feature. If I travel, I can just hook up my adapter to any computer with internet access and use the phone. Long distance calls do not cost extra with VoIP.

I'm really glad you posted this. I'm looking into getting VOIP phone service for a work-at-home job, since it requires a landline. The free long distance thing is excellent! I travel a lot too, so this makes it possible to take this sort of job with me, so I can have a "working vacation."

We just got VOIP service and it is amazing. It is great to not have to think about who you call or how long you stay on the phone for. It is also a great idea for home based buisnesses because it is one less bill you have to think about.

I had never heard of voip before. It sounds like it is really a good thing to have. It would be really good not to run out of minutes on my cell phone.

I had heard of VoIP but was not aware of what this technology was all about. When I read this article, I came to know clearly about VoIP. I am now glad to know about it and would definitely try it. I would even refer my friends to use it. Also due to increasing mobile usage, I would prefer using VoIP. Thanks for giving me a clear insight about this new technology. Its a really interesting article.

I've had VoIP for a couple of years. The reception is great and overall, I have been happy with it. The only drawback that I have found is that there are several companies that won't allow remote employment to employees that use VoIP.

wow! i have heard of this system only once or twice - you have really made me think - i am a dinosaur when it comes to electronics so i did it the old fashioned way, i copied viop down and i am going to find it, research it and if i have the set up fees (don't know how much they are) i will buy it. these days, anything i can do cheaper and easier is great. also, i don't get good cell phone reception at my house, so this would be grand! thanks for the post!

I absolutely agree with everything that's being said. I just also signed up with voip for the very same reasons - to combine and complement my cell phone usage. I have family and friends throughout the US as well as in Europe and China, so VOIP really helps our family out in terms of long distance costs.

VOIP has saved me over $600 per year in long distance charges. Many of the jobs I do require a phone call and this saves even more time and money. I have an in and out VOIP with my own phone number. I have a regular desk phone connected to my computer and it is just like using a land line. When I use it, it keeps a log of times and dates. I also have voice mail, caller id and all the features of traditional land lines. This is very conveinient and I can choose who gets through.

I had never heard of VIOP before reading this article. It sounds like something that I would be interested in having, so I will do a little further research to find out more. I really like the idea of not having to worry about running out of minutes everytime I use my cell phone. I am interested in anything that can save me money.

I have had VoIP for about 7 years. I love it. You are correct it is much cheaper then traditional phone service for all the services you want. I would also recommend it to anyone!
