Before I get back to posting the animal photos, I wanted to show you the carousel. It's just gorgeous, with 38 hand-carved wooden animal figures. There also features a series of hand-painted murals depicting endangered mothers and babies in their natural habitats.
Angela and I didn't ride the carousel, because it was an extra $2.00 apiece. I really enjoy looking at carousel figures, as I realize I have photos of lots of different carousel horses/animals. LOL

Manatee and dolphin mural

The turtle mural. I didn't get the other ones, since I was trying to take photos before the ride got moving again.

The stork....and no, I have no idea whose child that is...LOL

The silverback gorilla...and a bear next to him. The peacock in front of the gorilla is a bench seat.

Mandril and panther....and you can see a little more of the peacock in this one. Only about half of the outer animals actually go up and down. I think all of the inner ones do.

The white rhino...another big cat...then a cheetah

You can't forget mamma and daddy panda with the baby on the inside.

This is the little manatee, which I thought was just so cute.

And I have to save the best for last....the TIGER.
I was sorta' hoping to get a few more, but the ride was crowded. It took me 2 passes to get these shots. Other animals on the carousel include an elephant, warthog, and other birds.
Okay...now back to the animals....
