Mikaela -- 4 months old

Mikaela turned 4 months old on August 23.  I can't believe that it's already been 4 months since she was born, the time is just flying by!

Well, today was her 4 month checkup.  She got shots, of course, which she did not enjoy.  But she took them rather well.  She got really upset right after the nurse gave her the shots, but about a minute after the nurse was done Mikaela was fine. 

Mikaela now weighs 14 pounds, 7 ounces.  She is in the 70th percentile, which has decreased quite drastically from the 95th she was in at her 2 month appointment.  The doctor said her weight is starting to even out.

She is also 25.5 inches long, which puts her in the 90th percentile, so she is still rather long.  I have a feeling that she will stop growing so much soon, though, because me and her father are both rather short.

Other than that the doctor said she is fine, except for the fact that she has a cold and it looks like she is developing an ear infection.  So, I have to keep an eye out for a fever, and the cold explains why she has been a little bit fussier than usual.
