Gaillardia in Summer 2008

Hi y'all flowers enthusiasts, I think these are Gaillardia (or is it coreopsis?) flower pics, taken between 7/8/2008 to 8/12/2008.

Do you know that the common name refers to the inflorescence's resemblance to brightly patterned blankets made by native Americans? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaillardia)
