Did you see Hillary Clinton's speech at the DNC last night? And if you did, what did you think about it? Did she do a good job at pursuading people to vote for Obama?

I agree. I'm not sure she exactly wanted to do it ... But she knew she had to do it. If she wanted her career in the Democratic Party to stay alive. Hope she comes back and dominates in 2012.

I think that she made the right speech for now and for her political future, and she did it well.

She never endorsed Obama (although she did say Michelle would make a good first lady), her speech was intentionally generic and vague, and will not sway many voters. Real Obama cult members tried to hear things in it that weren’t there (entire cast of MSNBC) but there was no Obama endorsement at all.

Hillary wants McCain to win, this way she can run again in 4 years instead of 8. Watch for Bill to be just as vague and generic, and watch for the conspicuous absence of an endorsement again. MSNBC will see an endorsement (where none exists) again as well.
I watched it, I thought she hit a home run. Phileas, it may be you that didn't want to hear what was there, not those that support Obama wanting to hear what wasn't. I'm no Obamatron, though I support him as the only choice, considering McSame is a third term for the president we've had the last eight, but I think she went far to enlist her supporters for Obama, and the Democratic Party. I can finally say she did the right thing, and actually mean it.

I think she set herself up to inherit the torch from Ted Kennedy of party spokesman.

I think Mark Warner set himself up as the nominee in 2016, following Obama's election/re-election. He did a great job and will be 62 in 2016. Hillary will be 69, beyond a reasonable age for that demanding office.
I think that she did a great job. She definitely has a future in the Democratic Party, but we need someone in the White House who doesn't have the emotional baggage of the Clintons or the sameness of Bush. Obama fits that bill.

Ron, she certainly endorsed her partisan One Party view, but she never said Obama would be a good president, or countered the many times she said he would be an awful one.

Her speech was entirely self-serving, as Bill's will be tonight.

The only thing in it for Hillary is a Supreme Court nomination (which will be a tough sell to any Congress), that’s not what she wants, she wants the Presidential nomination, and she wants it in 4 years not 8.

I think her speech reflects that, I think Bill’s will tonight, and I think the warts are showing early on Obama (tron, I like that) so I think she will get what she wants.

I agree it is a lesser of two evils election again, but with the Mafia ties, Terrorist ties, lack of experience, lack of platform, etc. I simply see the evil differently.

She did seem to stress how important it is to have Obama, the Democrat, in the White House, and say anything about how important it is to have Obama, the person, in the White House.

I agree with Diana. I also think it is quite funny how she has done her sudden turn around from coments she made in the past about how she stated that McCain has the experience behind him and all Obama has is a speech.

I hope you are used to disappointment. McSame could not have chosen anyone further right, that would alienate the middle roaders he will need to win any better, if he had tried. This woman is the most anti woman, woman that I think he could have plucked from the bosom of Republican womanhood, except maybe Phylis Shaefflie (spelling?), if that old hag is still alive. And talk about negating any discussions of Obama's experience, he's his own worst nightmare. As we are seeing, his pick of Palin is only going to appeal to the most ignorant of fundies, who would likely have voted for him anyway.
