Summer Bathroom Project

This has taken a large portion of our summer - our bathroom/hall project.  The plumbing was in dire condition, just how bad we didn't know until my husband crawled under the house.  Crawling under the house - one of those things I appreciate the male sex for. 

I wanted more light coming into the dining room and an outlet or doorway on the southside of the house.  Eventually, we will move the dogs to that side, as they have continously jumped on the front door, which I'm tired of repainting.   It will also be a place to deposit our shoes out of site. 

So, we tore out our bathroom and made it smaller in order to accomodate a hall way and French Door.  The small closet on one side which you can't see is still in the construction phase.  It will be one of those get to is when you can projects.  We added a small deck off the French doors.  This is an old house and getting the door in was a challenge.  Well, there were many challenges. 

Chris did most all the work.  We both love tile and he's good at it.  I did a little painting and helped with the deck.

I can't emphasize how handy it is to have a husband who loves being a handyman.
