The edge of my thumb is now bleeding -- entirely my fault, as I have a habit of nervously chewing at my fingers when I'm stressed out. More annoying because it won't stop bleeding - it's not bleeding bad enough to require medical attention or anything, I'm too busy to go run cold water on it (which is what you're supposed to do, if I recall correctly), and it's not exactly in a position to be bandaged.
Do you ever just get nervous to the point where you find you've managed to accidentally (and probably stupidly) injured yourself? Bah, says I.

Actually, I've heard that saliva is good, too. Not that I spit onto cuts, but, if it's my finger, into my mouth it goes. Then, the cold water - apparently, that helps the blood to clot, or so I've heard.
