The Many Moods of Plunkey -- dedicated to Plunkett, my black cat.

This is Plunkett -- my "black kitty amigo"...

Plunkett got his name in a roundabout way from his mother -- who was not my cat and whom I did not name -- whose name was "Raider"... Jim Plunkett was my favorite "Raider" because he was a rebel... A poor kid who raised himself up from humble beginnings to become one of the winningest quarterbacks in the history of professional football... Jim Plunkett had "guts"... and so does Plunkett, the black kitty-cat...

First and foremost, Plunkett is a "great and mighty hunter"...

...who hunts his prey...

with all the stealth and cunning of a black panther...

stalking through the grass...

Plunkett is also generous, though... A "giver" who always brings his mama presents...

Although, sometimes... he can't resist playing with them first...

Plunkett is also a clown...

whose favorite game -- "I roll in the dirt while Mom scolds me for getting my pretty, black fur all dirty" -- always makes me laugh:

Plunkett is also very "deep"....

as he contemplates the rest of the world and its secrets...

Plunkett is my very bestest friend... :o)

He is absolutely gorgeous. You have the privilege of being owned by the mysterious black cat. He is a great hunter, who allows you to share in his kill. I hope you gave him plenty of praise for that. Great shots.

Plunkett is a very handsome fellow! In the photos of him in the tree, he really does look like a panther. Cats are just the best animals!
