My best friend, Mikey-Report for Feature My Pet

Mikey is a four year old golden retriever. He is always by my side, and I don't go anywhere without him.   There is nothing like the unconditional love from a dog.  Not to mention how silly he is!  He can always bring a smile to my face,  Mikey  is truly my best friend. 

One of his favorite activites is sleeping. He of course hogs the bed and snores, loudly! 

 

He loves a good belly rub! He always smiles, and sometimes even giggles when you rub his puppy belly.

 

 

 

 

 

There is a great egret that lives on our street, this is Mikey searching for him.

 

 

 

 

 

Here is Mikey with one of his cats.  He's decided that he owns the cats, not the other way around.  Surprisingly the cats agree.

 

 

 

 

Sometimes we just sit quietly outside enjoying the fresh air.

What a beautiful dog. They say that dogs are man's (or woman's) best friend. That's what so wonderful about pets - they do love you unconditionally. The cat is pretty too. Great shots!

great post and pretty dog. I was 14 when I lost my dog Bullet. It took 25 years before I finally consented to getting another dog. Ironic that the dog we have now is almost Carbon copy of Bullet. She adopted us and I didnt have the heart to say no.

Mikey looks like one happy dog. I know my dog is like a son to me, he comforts me when I am upset & makes me smile everyday. (I know what you mean about Mikey being a bed hog, my dog tries to sleep long ways & he's a doxie.)

Yup. Nothing like a golden. I had Jake for 10 years. Best man-magnet I ever found. And he was a great foot-warmer, too.

I love Goldens! My best bud Griffey was with us for 11 years, but his big heart gave out in August, very unexpectedly. I still grieve for him, but I mostly focus on the wonderful memories he left me with. I miss rubbing his belly, scratching the thick fur under his collar, and being amazed at his cleverness when he'd try to outsmart me in some spur-of-the-moment backyard game. (How many dogs can trick their owners into hiding for a game of hide-and-seek, and then leave them looking totally foolish when the neighborhood walkers stroll by and see a man crouching in the bushes beside his own house... seriously, he was good!)

He's a beautiful animal, and I'm sure he feels very loved. I hope you have many happy years together.

Golden Retrievers are the greatest! My wife and I have two, Halley and Comet, and they sure keep us on our toes and bring a lot of enjoyment.

I just came back after seeing this in your spotlight, and realized I already commented way back in September!  I still miss our Griffey-the-Wonderdog terribly, even though it will be a year in August since he left us.  When my son came home from college for the summer he grieved all over again for a bit, because it "hit home" once more that he's gone.

Continue giving Mikey lots of love... he'll never get tired of it, and neither will you!
