What kind of insects are these?

I was out in my garden today and noticed these two things. I don't know what they are or how to get rid of them. I didn't want to touch anything.

The first seems to be infested on one of my squash plants.

This next one I've seen for a while on the bottom of one of my tomato plant leaves. It almost looks like little maggots but doesn't move around.

 

 

Does anyone have any clue what they are?

Hm...I've never seen bugs like that before. The caterpillar especially, what are those white things on it.

Perhaps another bug used it to spawn, I have heard of that but I can't remember the name of the bug. Not much help and not sure where it is native too either.

The second one is a big, ole tomatoe worm. Just pick it off and kill it.

I can't remember what you call the first ones. Get some all purpose garden dust or hose them off good. If you are having dry conditions that is why they are coming.

the first ones look like a couple types of assainbugs i've seen but i am pretty sure they aren't since assain bugs drink other bugs not plants.

I can't remember what the first one is called either, but I have had them on my cucumbers before. I just used Bug-B Gone and it worked!

I keep thinking the top pic are those bugs we used to call "stink" bugs...just squish one and you'll know how they got their name.

The second ones...yeah, those are tomato worms.

Try Sevin dust on the plants, just remember to wash the veggies before you eat them!
