The humans that live in the house on my property sometimes refer to me as "Peeping Tom"; since they have found me, on more than one occasion, curiously trying to glimpse in the neighbor's window. I wasn't really trying to peep. I was just curious as to what goes on in the dwellings. I guess they passed the word around because the blinds stay closed more now.

Not only has the female human caught me trying to peer through the windows, but she's caught me peeping over the fence too. I try to play it off, but she walks around with that darn camera and catches my actions. I wonder what she does with the pictures.

I cautiously watch the humans because I sometimes get nervous around them. I know they pose no threat to me, but still...it pays to be cautious.

Thade is the one that poses the threat. When he's outside, I really have to pay attention to his whereabouts. He likes to chase me and my friends, so we always keep an eye on him. We certainly do not want to get caught by him. There's just no telling what he would do if he caught us.

Recently, we had a lot of rain and wind from a storm the humans refer to as Fay. My home suffered some damage and I had to relocate my family to another home a couple of trees away. The new living quarters is a little bigger and seems to be sturdier.

Speaking of Thade and the storm, he decided to play in the mud puddles after the rain subsided. What a sight he was! Just look at him, and they have the nerve to call my kind "squirrelly".

There's supposed to be the possibility of more rain today, but I'm confident things will be fine. Until it arrives, I'm just going to go through my routine of running around, playing, relaxing, and eating. I may even take the time to peep in the houses again to see how the humans are spending their day.

Congratulations on your win!~
Thank you all! Hope your week is going well.
I bet Thade and Tuck would have a blast in the cranberry ditch. I wonder what they would talk about :)
Since the contest is over (we could only post this to the Animal Lovers group for the contest), I will edit this and the other Furs Chapter to post to Artistic Minds. Thanks again!

The Twilight Zone...
They do, indeed, need to watch out for the dog. He keeps them running whenever we go outside & he is quick....luckily, the squirrels are quicker. Thanks for taking the time to come by here.
Cathi,
HA! You are right. There's only been one other person notice, or at least say something, and that was Bob (Elizabeth) that left a comment much the same as your's on the photo itself. I was wondering how many people would notice and how long it would take them to say something :)
Thanks, Dan & Kay.
That spooky whistle that you do has me worried :) I'm glad the your comments finally appeared, even if it took them a while. I have been having trouble with that too and thought it was just the Twilight Zone I live in.
Squirrels do make interesting subjects and they are very entertaining to watch. I will have to take a look at your photo essay. Thanks again for stopping by!
Wilma,
Thank you so much for stopping by :)
He was funny with all the mud on him. Needless to say, he and the squirrels keep us entertained.
