I have been thinking. About what? About water.
Water is a combination of two gases. Hydrogen and Oxygen. When they combine in just the right amounts, they make water. The symbol is H2o. Scientists might write it somewhat differently than I have here, but mine is close enough to make my point.
The fact is, the moment these two gases combine, a new element is formed. It is made from the two, but is entirely different from either. It has different uses and comes in different amounts.
Long ago, man discovered this quality of water, to be made up of, but to be different from those two elements. If he had not made that discovery, would it still be true that water is made of hydrogen and oxygen? Yes. If he proclaimed that it was not water, but something else, would that change the substance or form or importance of water? No.
If a man goes into a store and a woman goes into the same store and they both buy water, is one of them more in charge of water than the other? No. If a man and girl, boy and woman, boy and girl: in any of these three combinations, goes into the store and buys water, it's still water and neither has more rights to it.
What about if they don't know each other? What about if they are related? What if they go at different times? What if they do not see one another, or speak or in any other way interact? What if the female does not want to go to the store and buy water, but is forced by circumstances to do so?
Do any of these things change the fact that water is water? No. Do they in any way cause the water to not exist? No.
People, all humans, are made mainly of water. Without water, we would die within a short period of time. This is a fact of life that no one can change. It can be disputed, but not changed by the dispute.
There are many estimates of just what percentage of water is in the human body, but let's just say it's at least 70% for the average human. If someone is larger, and perhaps needs more water each day to keep from being thirsty, does that mean he, or she, deserves more water than a very small person? Does that mean they should be allowed to take away the water belonging to another or that has been given to another just because they can? Does the fact that they can, make it right that they do? Does it make it right that they waste the water or misuse it just because they can?
The answer to all of these questions, is NO.
And if a woman is standing in her kitchen or bedroom with a small amount of water, a tiny drop or a bucket full, and proclaims that it is not water, but is a bug, dirt or something else repugnant to her, does that make it not water? No. She can proclaim it, but will only make her look and sound foolish. And she would not be dealing from a full deck. (And I say dealing because this is not playtime.)
Long before man and longer still before woman, existed, God made water and determined its properties, and how much there would be, where it would be and that our lives would depend on a supply of it. His laws on water may not be heeded by man, but they are still His Laws and cannot be changed by man. Or woman.
Back in February of this year, I wrote an article on life and the unborn. In that article, I stated, basically, that the unborn have just as much right to life as any other person. Then this past week, I was attacked by many here on gather for saying what I did and standing by it once attacked.
So I decided to write another article and put it here on gather for all to see and read and find out, if you didn't already know, that I still believe exactly what I said back in February. Only now, I am stating it a little stronger. Because I refuse to be insulted into silence.
When God created life, He decided to make some laws to govern its existence. He gave man, and thereby woman, some freedoms. Other men or women have no authority from God to take away the freedoms God gave. He is the Ultimate Lawgiver, Judge and the One and Only One to decide who decides. He is allowing man and woman to temporarily take away some of these freedoms. But God has not given man whom He created, or woman, whom He also created absolute charge of their lives, to determine for themselves what is right and wrong in all circumstances. He has chosen to keep that for Himself.
If we don't like it, that's just too bad for us because we can't change it.
Just as water instantly becomes that from the combining of two gases, a baby becomes a human at the instant the cell from a woman is combined with that of a man. Just as no law made or written down by man can change the facts about water, no man- made or woman- made law can change the facts about the human baby. It is a baby from the very instant these two very different cells combine. A very different human from the two who provided the cells necessary is then in existence. It is different from both, but a part of both.
Long ago, God wrote the DNA code and put it in his human creation. In the book that millions believe is His Word, He explains, through one who was writing in a language for man, that He sees this. "In your book all its parts were down in writing." In God's Book. We don't have that book. We couldn't read it if we did have it. So he had man write what He wants us to know in a language and way we could read.
And in that same book, He shows time and again that He cares for humans we cannot see. One place He gives a rule that at some time He will see is enforced. That rule is: if two men are engaged in a struggle and a woman becomes, somehow, involved and she is pregnant and injured, her husband can impose sanctions on the man who injured her. But if her baby is KILLED by their behavior, then; eye for eye, tooth for tooth, LIFE for LIFE, soul for soul. That is not being enforced now. At least not in every country and in every instance. God is allowing it to happen and not have immediate 'life for life' results.
At some point, at His Sole Discretion, He will enforce that law.
Now I know that some people out there who may read this will not agree. That's a given. Some will not only disagree with what I have written, but will try to say I don't have the right to say it.
You don't have to agree with this I have written for it to be true. You can say that God does not have the right to make the laws for you, make any moral decisions for you, will not enforce any of what I am saying He will do, and can even assert that God as Creator and Judge and Lawgiver does not exist.
For those who might think those things, I have one word: it begins with hog and ends with wash.
They can proclaim that I am wrong all they want. Just because there may be many very loud voices trying to shout me down, doesn't give 'right' to what they are saying. God makes the rules. I am just sharing them.
I am using the freedom of speech that God gives me to say so. I am also using the freedom of speech that the laws of this country give me to say so. I say if they don't like what I am saying, they should find their reading pleasure elsewhere.
But just as the woman in her kitchen or bedroom proclaiming that water is dirt and useless and she can do without it as she pleases, sounds foolish, the woman who proclaims that an unborn baby is not a baby and that God can't make it so, also sounds foolish.
Now back in February when I wrote the other article, I stated clearly from the first, in bold lettering at the top of the article, that any who insulted me or any other commenter who agreed with me, would have their comment deleted. That was ignored by some and then they squawked about censorship when I did, in fact, delete their comments. And I say comments because some besieged me in order to try to make me stop deleting or look bad to the rest of any readers out there.
Those ones who did that will not be allowed to comment on any posts I share. On any subject. At anytime now or in the future.
I will read each comment submitted and it will be at my discretion whose comments will be allowed on the page to be seen by other readers. This is not censorship. It's like with a newspaper editorial page where the public can write in. The paper's editors have the discretion to allow, or not allow, any letters to be published on their pages.
You may see in my analogy with water that I have made no allowances for abortion. I personally believe there are none acceptable to God. Each of you can, and I'm sure will, decide for yourself. But I have said it, and I stick by it because one person, no matter how small deserves life just as much as any other person no matter how loud.
There are some of you who may be reading this, and you know who you are, to you I want to say: Have a great day and most wonderful life!
..........................................................................................................................................
And to those who will automatically be barred from commenting here, I say: you also know who you are.

Good article Ms. Shirley. We pro-lifers are glad to have you on our team.
Your comment is right what I would have said had I thought of it, but you have said it better than I could have.
I appreciate the support and the compliment. I'm glad to be on your team. Our shout will reach God in heaven and He will know we are trying.
I don't see you as being judgmental. I mean you could have been with me and you were not. :) Thanks so much Shirley!
Great article Shirley.
And those who defend the innocent and helpless will continue to be blessed by the God who designed us all.
