Good morning. It will probably rain today on Long Island but otherwise it's a good day. After yesterday my legs are starting to complain but otherwise I'm in fine spirits. One of my duties in the Honor Guard for the Knights of Columbus is going to wakes for members in our area who passed away. Yesterday there was a priest and we were at the wake for a whole four hours. We had three groups of three knights and we took 10 minute turns at the casket with swords drawn (they don't seem heavy until you have them in your hands for 8 or more minutes). Then we went to the council hall for pizza because we had another wake that evening. That was another two hours of taking turns standing.

Needless to say I got up late this morning. A local english professor has a commentary every Monday at 7:35 AM at the local public radio station. Unfortunately I turned on the car radio at 7:45 and missed him.
